An urgent plea.

Image from HERE.

Friends, as you have seen on the news, a monstrous typhoon hit my country last week. It killed, swept away, and displaced many people. What used to be lively provinces with lush green trees and heritage churches became wastelands that reek of death. Within a few hours, many of my brethren lost their homes and their loved ones, and have been left with absolutely nothing. It terrifies me to think what they could be feeling right now. Up to this day, aid is still scarce, and many are dying.

On behalf of my fellowmen, I ask you to help and stand beside my helpless people rebuild their lives. I believe as citizens of the world, it is during these times that we have to help each other, especially those who have seen and felt the fury of nature's wrath.

If you can donate, please do so. Here is a link to many organizations that provide relief to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan: http://news.yahoo.com/how-to-help-donate-to-victims-of-super-typhoon-haiyan-195111618.html.

If you can't donate, that is fine as well. I instead ask you to keep the victims and families in your thoughts/prayers. Any of these is deeply appreciated.

its the Heroine's fault, blame her!

Willing Captive - Belle Aurora

I have to put this book down now. I'm sorry it just doesn't work for me, it started good and then I wasn't interested with the story anymore :( Its just me okay... hey look this book got lots of rave reviews, you should read them. And as for me I need to find a book that will let me forget reality right now:)

SPOILER ALERT!
Run To You - Charlotte Stein
Hope is the thing that keeps you going when everything is awful and dark and you don’t know which way to turn.

This book is different, that it puts a unique twist on the stereotype fictional billionaire mad man lol.
and the hero here is nothing like that.
it seems most contemporary books have this typical wealthy hero that has his fare share of dark past that turns to ruin and intrigue the story isn't it, but Janos is nothing of the sort.

‘I don’t know why I am the way I am.’
‘I was going to guess childhood trauma.’
‘No, no childhood trauma. No terrible event in my teens, no sudden grief that forever formed me into this closed-off creature...’

and that's why its more interesting, you get into the mind of the heroine figuring out what Janos is up to, assuming things but likely not getting close to what will happen next but oh sooo good when it happened in a much better way.

(view spoiler)

Alissa has an extreme inferiority complex that might irritate a reader but to me it was something different and for her to do things and wanted change for a little bit and having the courage to take the plunge was amazing and Janos has a little bit of loosing up too especially his control, to see him tearing up his layers of sophistication and wealth was beautiful. They both let themselves undone by each other physically and emotionally.

The chemistry of both the H/h was heart felt and you wanted them to be together, that luxury and ordinary life might be two worlds apart but everything is possible if you hold that hope in you.

I love this book, yes it was written in heavy narrative its hard to digest at first but since I re-read it, it flows freely and I love the execution of the story.
The sex scenes, the conflict and the romance was well versed it made my heart ached in the last few pages.

SPOILER ALERT!
Styxx - Sherrilyn Kenyon
“Be kind to everyone you meet, for we are all fighting a fierce battle.”
-Plato

“...Life, like war, is neither right nor wrong. It just is. And rather than worry over a philosophy you can’t change, you should just try to live through it as best you can.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warning: the events in Styxx's life is very nauseating, do not attempt to read if you are not comfortable with raped, abuse, violence, war, degradation, and torture and other acts of inhumane proportions.
and read the book Acheron first before this.

Time can heal a broken heart, but can anything save a shattered soul?

You think Acheron, Darling or even Zhadist from BDB got it worst in their life then you haven't met Styxx.

as the twin brother of Acheron, many had thought that Styxx was the arrogant, pampered prince who turned against Ash when he badly needed saving...not knowing that (view spoiler)
with the allure he has like his brother many people wanted him and physically abused his body.
His family hated him because they saw Acheron in his presence, his father had doubted he's one of them, his mother hated him for being born and even (view spoiler)

and as fuck up like his brother, he (view spoiler) a worst gift given to him by life.

His brother wasn’t the only one damned. It was both of them. Two lives tied together in complete and utter misery.

“Acheron thinks that just because he has it bad, I have it good.”

both brothers had it good when they where young, even abused by their father, they communicate like two little kids finding ways to be happy only for a little while...

Will you keep it for me, Styxx? I would weep if it were lost.
Pulling it toward him, he cradled it to his chest. “I won’t let it be harmed, Acheron. It will be here for your return. I promise.”
No matter where they lived or how far apart, they were still brothers.
Forever and always.

until they were separated...
both their life has thrown into spiral, prejudice to both part got them in bitter hatred to each other because people around them feed them with false reality...

Hatred was a lot easier to deal with than guilt or remorse. And memories that couldn’t be changed. Styxx knew that better than anyone.

It’s amazing the damage we do to ourselves and others when all we’re trying to do is protect ourselves from being hurt.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The truth is not always obvious, and it's never easy

Styxx might be the best character so far, he exceeds Ash.
he was totally misunderstood by most people, I for one...I hate him in the book Acheron. I don't know his side of story until now and I never thought that I will love him way better than Ash.
He is humble, loyal and compassionate to those he loved even to Ash (view spoiler)
he wasn't the spoiled rotten prince people knew.
He cared to his men at war and he doesn't take anything for granted because he knows first hand how happiness can be stolen in just a glimpse.
there's only two people who loved and cared for him, and I loved them for taking good care of him.
What I love most about him was his strength and resilience, the pain he dealt with, the longings he'd gone through, he did give up most of the time, cos he wanted out of this life so badly. you will feel his emotion pouring out of the story. He endured it all. He survived. He's a better man through and through.
Another thing I like about him was his sarcasm, it's very sharp which made me laugh sometimes. His ability to hide his pain is what gets him into trouble because no one knows his true feelings.

People make their own reality...A hundred people can witness the same exact event, and give two hundred and three different accountings of it.
“Everything is filtered through our emotions that change over time,...listen to both sides of every matter and try to find the truth that lies somewhere between the opposing accounts.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The most beautiful heart of all is the one that can still love even while it bleeds, and especially after its been broken into thousands of pieces.

He never dared of finding love, when he jumped off a cliff to kill himself...(view spoiler), he was founded by a beautiful blind woman who took care of him, she didn't know him and he gave him a false name because Styxx was scared that she might hate him too.
Her name was Bethany...
Bethany was the right hand of Dikastis, their god of justice. and in order not to judge others for what she saw, she is to be blind when she took human form. and also she's the Atlantean goddess of misery and wrath.
while Styxx was scared that Bethany might reject him for finding the truth that he was a the infamous prince most people falsely accused him to, Bethany was also afraid to tell him that she was a goddess.
not knowing that it wouldn't even matter because love have already bound their two hearts.

Styxx and Bethany got the best love team ever and it spans through the years together and apart. unlike other couples who had it in a couple of weeks and declared their HEA.
they have the genuine love for each other and you can't help but support them against all odds for better or for worst...
Their love for each other was ordinary, a weary soldier and a simple girl which made it very special.
Their complete trust to each other and their vow of never letting go was the part that made me cry.

“I will count the heartbeats until I see you again.”
“And I will make your count as brief as possible. I promise.”
...
“And I will be counting down every beat of my heart until we’re together.”

the very strong message of it is that Love is the source of strength from someone we dearly love and makes things alright even in the depths of darkness, the pulse that we hear for us to continue living and the light that will lead us back to their warm embrace...

ΔIΚΟΣ ΣΑΣ.
Faithfully yours.

“Never once in my life did I feel sunshine on my skin until the day you touched me,” he breathed in her ear. “And without my Bethany, I dwell in total darkness.”

There's a lot of going on in this book, a lot of twist and surprising revelations and I hope I have a dark hunter guide book to help me with all the characters, the enemies are still the enemies and and the good one's? well I love them and there's nothing to say.
one of my favorite heroes, Urian has an important role in this book.
I'm a little bit angry to Ash because he's the one who's holding grudges to Styxx. but I still love the man of course I love him, he's inspirational...just don't tell him that I have a soft spot towards Styxx lol:D
I thought I would never get a happy ending, the suffering that Styxx went through I thought it would not end happily but I'm glad it did.
I wanted to say more but my ramblings doesn't do any justice on how much I love this book. Every time I try and come here and made some editing work, a tear will fall, its just to much to bear, I don't even want to share this review. That's how tough it is. I will hold this book so dearly.

Another amazing and torturous book from the master of fucked up PNR heroes Sherrilyn Kenyon. This is the best she got!

Styxx held his hand out to his brother. Acheron took it and allowed him to pull him to his feet.
They stared at each other, fully united for the first time since the day Estes had taken Acheron to Atlantis. Brothers forever and always.

Unattainable - Madeline Sheehan 3.5 just reel it in Stars
“From chaos, the strongest sort of love is usually born.”

*I felt like Tegen been screaming my brains out I had an headache.
*all my love goes to Dirty and his girl, so sad they got only little part though!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright here it goes...
I am aware of the setting of the story, its environment, how promiscuous the characters are and the buckets of profane words. It is at its benefit because it showcases the dark side(which readers likely to read nowadays) of Motorcycle clubs, with this it would make a unique and interesting story.

BUT for a story to knock your socks off it should have an interesting plot and for me this book got it only on Dirty and Ellie's story not Tegen and Cage's.

Considering how I loathe the first book, how I hate most parts of the second book, don't you think I'm just my wasting time for reading the third book and altogether rant all over again? of course not, curiosity got me reading this series. Let's call that a compliment:)

so this are my thoughts...
I don't like Tegen's character, aside from the screaming the hell out of everything that moves, what's she's doing was total nonsense and most likely wanted attention. I wonder why Cage like her, she's a nagger.
Cage is um... let's say "like father like son" and you'll get the idea.
Since their relationship came from one-sided childhood crush gone bad and their constant argument about "I want you, I don't want you" stuffs, to be honest THERE WAS NO STORY TO TELL about them. They fight, they have sex then they fight again and add the screaming portion. it was an endless loop, you get scene? you think there was love out of the chaos that they live with, sadly I didn't see it.

on the bright side
The Author got it right on how strong love is despite the chaos from Dirty and Ellie's story, if only she spends more time developing their characters and more scenes with them together, this book might not wound up much.
*For me* they have the interesting part in the story, I wanted to skip every part of Tegen and Cage.
Dirty is one damage character, he had a worst past even though he was saved by Deuce when he was young, he still got it worst because of how he live his life now and for one good thing to happen in his life, it was unimaginable because Ellie Oh God *Godbless* her, sweet, good, kind and caring Ellie showed how important he is.
it wasn't easy, their relationships has all its complications and a littler suspense. To think that what they have was truly impossible makes it more fruitful to read. For Ellie to understand him and accepts him for who and what he is, well there you go it was Love.
it was crazy and I wanted more of them instead of the other two main characters.

Allure - Nina Lane My favorite drawing by Liv:)
image
I love this book better than the first, its everything I want and then some. Even if you delete the sex scenes it still has a story to tell and isn't it that's what important while reading, to capture the essence of Love, its meaning and importance and the Author had done it well considering how shaky the marriage of Dean and Liv have, but they'd stay strong as a couple, working things out little by little, their commitment to each other was truly heart felt.
image

I love the drawings, they were a surprise in the book and I can't help but laugh over Dean trying hard to make one and Liv always have a smart reply hahaha:D
image

I laugh. “Lovely sentiment, but why did you draw a picture of a smiling butt?”
“A what?”
“A smiling butt.” I hold out the note.
“That’s a coffee bean.”
“Oh.” I squint at the picture. “Well, I guess I finally found something you can’t do very well.”

Another great read, I can't wait for more:)

"Sherrilyn Kenyon Interviews Savitar!"
http://www.heroesandheartbreakers.com/blogs/2013/08/sherrilyn-kenyon-interviews-savitar

and this is an explanation on why Sherri pick a new hero:

Since a couple of fans have spoken up after we announced the next DH book, Son of No One, and decried they are upset that I “keep writing about new characters and ignoring the old ones i.e. Savitar, Thorn, Jaden and Jared” I thought I should explain a few things.
....read the spoiler
First, that extremely untrue criticism baffles the heck out of me and leaves me totally nonplussed. While I write each and every book to stand alone so that new readers won’t be lost should they pick up a book later in the series, they all lead into each other and create a much larger picture when read in order and together. This is done with very careful planning and knowledge. You won’t feel left out by not reading earlier books, but you will miss cameos and foreshadowing.

If you’ve been reading the series from the beginning then lesson one is: that there are no throwaway lines or characters. Everything is important. It might appear innocuous, but it isn’t. Everything ties together and circles around. Yes, I do leave some questions open, but it’s done intentionally and they will be answered eventually. If I tried to put everything and every single character into one book, it would be extremely confusing and more jarring than watching a soap opera you’ve never seen before, for the first time.

Just the complex story of Acheron and Styxx alone took over 600,000 words to tell. Those two novels are a total of 4000 manuscript pages. That’s ONE relationship out of the dozens of existing characters.

At one time, all the characters were new, and I rarely write about new major characters now. Even new secondary characters are rare. And what I find most fascinating/confusing is that the characters they’re begging for are all newer than the characters I’ve been writing about in the last few years. For the last six years (or more, actually), I have been going back to the original characters.

Readers who have been around since the beginning will remember that Renegade was on the original website (his was the very first collector card I gave out in 2001, with Ash and Zarek) and has been in this series since the beginning. He's mentioned in Night Pleasures. Sundown is mentioned in Night Pleasures and has been around since Dance With The Devil (2003) and readers have been begging for him for a decade– Renegade even longer. I had to wait to write Ren’s book because of the 2012 prophecy (unfortunately, I can’t control ancient writers, ancient prophecy and mythology- I do try to stay pretty true to it). I had to wait to write Jess’s book because of the 2012 prophecy and the fact that those two books are intimately tied together (which I knew when I wrote about the characters in 2000) and that Sunshine’s cousin was the heroine for Ren. Kat is mentioned in passing in Night Embrace. In fact, there’s only one new character in Time Untime at all.

But here, let’s look at the characters/books:

Styxx: Styxx has been in the series since the beginning. Bethany has two cameos in Acheron (2008). In 1600+ pages, 310,000+ words there’s only one major secondary character who’s new. One. And he's necessary.

Time Untime: Ren appears in NP (2002). Kat appears in NE (2003) Sunshine, Talon, Storm, Acheron, Nick, Sin, Katra, Jess... all old characters, except for 1. Oh and it ties directly into Styxx and intro’s Talon’s son who I guess is technically a new character, too.

The Guardian: Granted Seth is a new character, but he’s related to Menyara who has been in the series since 2005. Lydia was hinted at in The Dream Hunter, Kiss of the Night and One Silent Night and she’s related to Solin so while they’re new, they’re not (it’d be like complaining that I brought Fury in as a new character in Night Play after he was cameoed in Night Embrace). The book also sets up important details about Solin’s book and Styxx– both of whom are original/old characters. There’s also major details about Jaden, Jared, Thorn, Bethany, and Nick, but you have to pay attention to catch them. Basically, those foreshadows are caught in retrospect. I can’t say more than that without major spoilers, other than this book is important to the overall arcs fans are wanting to read.

Retribution: Jess has been around since the beginning. Abigail is new, but her friends, however, have been around since Kiss of the Night. Almost everyone in it is an old character except for the 4 guardians and the legend of Jess which has been hinted at, but not elaborated on. But that’s true of all the heroes. They all have families and pasts no one knows about until their story is told, which is why people want to read their books-to learn about their unknown pasts. This book also has critical info for future Daimons and for Styxx and a book I’m currently working on.

No Mercy: Dev’s book. He’s been around since the beginning. Sam has been hinted at and talked about since Night Pleasures and she was introduced in Dream Warrior. She’s made several cameos. Chi and Ethon are sort of new characters and are two fans say they want to read... But again, they have made cameos in previous books. There’s also important info for Thorn, Stryker, Sav and Jaden.

BAD Moon Rising: Fang and Aimee go all the way back to the second book Night Embrace. The ONLY new character in this is... Thorn. The rest have all been in previous books. Eli, Constantine, Varyk, Stone, etc have had previous cameos.

Dream Warrior: You could consider Jericho and Delphine new characters, but... Jericho is mentioned in the Dream Hunter, the first of the Dream Hunter books, and he appears in Upon the Midnight Clear as does Delphine. In fact, the book is a continuation of Upon a Midnight Clear. So really, no new characters.

One Silent Night: Stryker has been the villain since book 3 and appears in many of the books. Zephyra has been hinted at, but not seen until now so I don’t consider her a new character. Interestingly enough, this is the book Jared is introduced in.

Acheron... only one new character in 1100+ pages. Ash has been in since the beginning, Tory first appears in The Dream Hunter and is cousin to the heroine in Dream Hunter.

Dream Chaser: Xypher is a former character whose fate was left hanging after Devil May Cry. Simone is sort of new, but as the best friend of Tate, she has been hinted at in other books. The new character? Jaden. And events in here are integral to many of the future books.

Upon the Midnight Clear: Aidan is a new character--six years into the series-- but if we didn’t have new major characters from time to time, the series would get stale. Leta has had cameos in past books and this is only the second book of the Dream-Hunter spin-off series and it is a short story that intros readers into that spin-off universe and sets up the background for the Dream Warrior novel that will come a year later.

Devil May Cry: Sin is a new character to the series. Kat is not. She’s been around since book three and has appeared in many books. We do have a new villain, but again we’re dealing with ancient prophecy and events that had to take place this year and it sets up Acheron’s and Stryker’s books. It also ties directly to Styxx and so I can’t show how it ties to the whole series without some major spoilers.

At this point, we’re in the year 2005, which shows that in the last seven years, there’s only been a tiny handful of characters introduced. There are more new characters introduced in Night Embrace alone (book 2) than in any other book I’ve written since.

Let’s keep going:

The Dream Hunter: While part of the DH world, it is a spin-off series so we do have some new characters who appear in it, but we have many who are old favorites and it sets up the conflict to come with the Olympians and Dream-Hunters, as well as Ash and his mother. It is integral into Ash and Styxx’s books and has important info about Sav and Nick.

Dark Side of the Moon: Susan is new, but Ravyn was first mentioned in Night Pleasures. The reason it wasn’t in New Orleans was that it’s the first Post Katrina DH book and like many of the real citizens of New Orleans, the fan fave Squires were relocated to other parts of the country. I also wanted to show how DH and Squires worked in other parts of the country and events in it are important to Thorn and Sav...

Unleash the Night: Wren has been in the series since the beginning and while intended to write about a new DH (Xander), Wren wouldn’t let me. It’s also an important book to Fang and Aimee and Sav.

Sins of the Night: Both new characters. Ironically, no one seems to remember that all the new characters are introduced in the beginning of the series and that I’m now working on all those characters who were first introduced in these early books...

Seize the Night: Tabitha and Valerius go back to the first book. No new characters at all.

Night Play: Bride is technically a new character. Vane is not. Bride made a cameo in the second book.

Kiss of the Night: lot of new characters in this one. Cassandra is new. Wulf was mentioned in the previous books, but only cameoed. Urian, Styrker, Apollymi, etc are all introduced in this book.

Dance With The Devil: While Zarek was introduced in the previous book, Astrid was not. In fact, the only familiar characters in this are Z, Jess, Kyrian, Acheron. The rest, including Otto are brand new.

Night Embrace: Basically an all new cast. Talon appears briefly in Night Pleasures. Sunshine had a cameo in Fantasy Lover. Styxx, the Peltier Bears, Wren, Apollo, Valerius, Zarek, Marissa, Vane, Fang, Fury, Wulf, etc. are all new characters in this book. It truly was the unfamiliar cast.

Night Pleasures: EVERYBODY’S new except for Julian, Selena and Grace. No old characters.

So, needless to say, I’m quite baffled that anyone is upset that I dared to finally write about a new hero and heroine after eleven years. But the ironic part is.... oh wait, I can’t tell that because it’s a spoiler.

However, I can say this. The one thing the previous books should show is that characters who might “appear” to be new on the surface, have a history with old characters and are integral parts to the series as a whole, especially Son of No One. It has two major whoppers in it that will leave most readers gaping.

While I am thrilled fans are dying for Sav, Remi, Thorn, Jared and Jaden, there are things about them that will completely alter the series and forever change it. And I can’t just write those books without some set up. There are events that have to happen first. And stories that have to be told. There are many characters who came before them such as Jess, Dev, Fang, Ren, etc. who deserve to have their stories told, too. And occasionally, a new guy or girl will come along and say, “hey! I have a story to tell.”

As for Remi... I’D LOVE TO WRITE IT! Unfortunately, he’s a crabby bear and won’t talk to me yet. Like Urian. I keep trying, but they have to cooperate.

And while Cadegan may appear unfamiliar at first glimpse, Son of No One is an extremely important book in the series, and like Seth, you’re going to be shocked at who he’s related to and how important he really is to everything. Oh, and The Guardian ties directly into Son of No One, too, as does Styxx, and they all relate to Thorn, Jared, Jaden and Savitar’s arcs. As I said, the books are integral to each other and the one or two characters who are introduced into each book are used over and over again, and are important to the whole series. This includes Amaranda and Cael who have been off screen for a really good reason, and they will be in an upcoming book...

You just have to trust me and the characters

Hugs!

Arouse (Spiral of Bliss, #1) - Nina Lane
Okay, so medieval history is still a little dorky. But when brought to life by Professor Dean West, it breathes and glows with color.

“And here comes the Incredible Hunk.”

“Hey, Dean?”
“Hey, Liv.”
“Why are you waiting for me?” I asked.
“Because you’re worth it.”
“You don’t know that.”
“Yes, I do.”
“How?”
“I’ve been around. I know when something’s good.”

My throat tightened a little. “What if you’re wrong?”
“I’m not wrong.”

*scrubs face with both hands*
arghhh how did it all became so messed up!

the story didn't start well for me because of the baby issue, like what the heck! they're married and they use condom? I thought it was for Family Planning but it wasn't and its more likely a decision made early on their marriage caused by a traumatic past from Liv. What we don't know is that Dean also harbors his on secrets why he doesn't want a baby.

Sounds complicated?... Not.
Is it a big deal? well Liv is making a big deal over it and so am I haha:D
You see I want to shake Dean (mostly bump his head on the wall if I was in the book lol) and ask him the Big WHY over and over.
and then comes the "Truth" oh it was a hell of a fraking revelation.
and then my "why" questions becomes an accusation on Dean
like: Why Dean Why?

The story is refined and relatable, its more like a realistic fiction and it focuses more on the couple and the brooding storm in their marriage.

by the time it hits the second half, the story picks up and I was a total mess for crying,
I was like:
image

and I wanted it to stop.
image
but things are getting worst. Both are trying though...
image
remember the first issue...The baby well since Dean won't talk about his reasons, the trust in the marriage is shaken to its core which leads to other " mistakes". Who's at fault with those mistakes, both of them, not only in Liv's part but Dean affected that event to happen.

I think both Dean and Liv grow on me through out the story, I just want them to work things out and kiss and make out *cough* (they still have an active sex life even with their problems);]

good thing it ended well:_)*happy cry*
image

“You can’t forget something so horrible, Dean.” “You can only use it to make you stronger.”

“You’ll think of a way to turn things around,” I say. “You just need a different angle.”

Hopefully there Love for each other becomes stronger than before, more firm. With their trials and tribulations in their marriage, they would stand up and unite for "better or for worse":)

Maybe this was meant to happen, this discovery of cracks where now a different, new light can shine through.

Me Before You - Jojo Moyes This is very special story...
of a man named Will and a lovely girl named Lou.
They haven't crosses path through out their lives while living in the same city.
He lives to the fullest that life could offer him.
She lives in contentment of what she only have.
Until one day his whole life turned upside down because of an accident.
Until one day her whole life just went to a brink.
They were never destined to cross path but funny life can be so cruel sometimes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Do You Want to Do With Your Life?

the question sounds benign isn't it. It's a question that makes you stop and think for a while, that makes you rethink your life all of a sudden.
Can you answer that with what your desires right now, your passions maybe?, your dreams, your happiness...there's no limit on the answer, you just have the willingness to make it come true.

That is the beauty of what this story is telling,
‘Just Live well, Just Live.’
‘You only get one life. It’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible.’

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its honest, real, hilarious, heart felt and thought provoking.
The cast of characters were very real, if you read the family part of Lou, it was the typical ordinary family, full of struggles but they still understood each other and work it out their problems one way or the other.
Will and Lou are easy to love characters,
he's bossy, mercurial and sarcastic, she's quirky, kind, tenacious and caring, really its a wonder how they work out each other from a daily basis, but they did! and it was beautiful when they were together.
Even if this book is everything you could have known from the very beginning of the story, that the ending is already given to you, only that you wouldn't want the ending to happen...
the words "what if and if only" comes to my mind often when reading this,
its difficult, very difficult. What will you do if you're in the in the shoes of Will Traynor? It is such a life changing scenario and a serious subject matter to deal with...
its emotionally raw that tugs your heart strings.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This book has thought me that life is precious, life is worth while, don't regret, if you fail, stand up and dust it off, that life even with all the trials and tribulations, we should never give up, that life is an opportunity given to us to live as we want it to be...No one will take that away from us, after all what is "free will" if we don't use it right?

so I leave you with this song from Eminem called "Lose Yourself" it says:

Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted, one moment
Would you capture it?
Or just let it slip...
You better lose yourself in the music
The moment, you own it, you better never let it go
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime.

Again I'm speechless...choke in tears and I'm still reeling on what words to say.

It was gut-wrenching,heart breaking and painful to read, emotional to the deepest core.

but at the same time it was Inspiring, Evocative and full of Wisdom.

I sobbed my way through every page, reading it even though I can't see it anymore, the pain was to much to bear, too difficult to swallow and yet too hard to look away. I can't put it down, hoping there's a light at the end of the dark tunnel, thank goodness there was hope.

I admire Darling's character, he'd been through hell and back yet he amaze me with his capacity to care, to love and to sacrifice himself to the people he love dearly even though it will be the death of him, and even though his last shred of humanity was torn through him by the one he loves most, he gave forgiveness.

“We are all the masters of our own decisions. Right or wrong, Stupid or intelligent. Only we are to blame for our missteps and mistakes.”

What happens when the one you love, the one you promise your whole life with, the one you trusted most, the one you want to spend your Forevers..betray you?

What Zarya did was unintentional, but it was callous of her to be a part of the the suffering of Darling even though she didn't know his true identity, she was blinded by her own grief of finding Darling aka Kere as she had know him, with one bad decision she both altered what could have been the best day of their life to become the worst nightmare they can't ever forget.
I'm happy that she works so hard for Darling to trust her again, I love that she'll do anything for Darling, to keep him happy and be loved and then put him first amidst the danger and even though what she did was a total mistake it was already ingrain in both their hearts.

“You are my heaven… And you will always be my eternal hell.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
and my favorite character... he was truly special, one of the best secondary character I've ever read, he's the foundation that glued both Darling and Zarya together, and he's the best friend everyone wants to have with, I for one, I Love my Maris:_)

Darling:“Why couldn’t I be gay? It would be so easy to love you if I were. You’ve always been here for me, Mari. You’ve never hurt me. Not once.”
Maris:Why couldn’t I be what you need?
It was why he’d never been serious about anyone else. How could he? He was in love with his best friend and no one else measured up.

yes that's the truth the fracking truth why Maris and Darling will NEVER be together as a couple, they love each other so much, only that Darling is straight while Maris is not.
they've been together as a kid, always support each other and always protect each other,
without the other, one will crumble.
What truly touched my heart was that Maris will do anything for Darling to be whole again and even to bring Zarya back to his arms, it was an act of genuine love for the sake of his best friend even though it hurts that he cannot be what Darling needed.

“Through thick and thin, we’re brothers to the bitter end. And if
you’re going to hell, buddy, I’m driving the bus.”

and here I am again staring at the computer screen contemplating on what to say *sigh* I'm just too caught up at the moment.

It was too raw... the pain of their bad beginning, what they had, the chances of them falling in love given the circumstances was unexpected, it just happened. And on that we judge their relationship, romanticizing what was plain wrong in morality, but hey I still Love it, it is because of these two damage souls that got me through reading this series, they're both survivors and that's what I love about them. How can such a book be inspirational? well... you gotta dig a little deeper, right?:)) that's what made me connected with Caleb and Livvie...and for them to have a happy ever after, it wasn't easy, as Livvie said "Romances end with a
happily ever after. This is not a romance.
This is a love story."
:_)

This is a light read, a chance of normalcy for Caleb and Livvie's sake, I couldn't ask for more but for them to enjoy their present and hopefully fond memories will overshadow their past...I'm happy for this book although I cannot leave their scars behind, its part of who they were and a part of what they're trying to be, step by step.

I'm so glad to read one of the most unconventional love stories ever written! kudos to the Author:) pssst *whisper* another book for Caleb and Livvie please, I'm begging for more!:D
